#2 Bengals Blast #19 Vikings

The second-ranked Brighton Bengals demonstrated the difference between contenders and pretenders last night against the nineteenth-ranked Pleasant Grove Vikings at Viking Stadium. The visiting Bengals put on a display of hard-nosed defense, precision passing, and team speed while dispatching the Varsity Vikings 5-0.

The JV Vikings, who have not lost a game this year, expected to prevail as usual. They were, however, denied the victory. In fact they were practically denied any shots on goal at all as they went down in defeat for the first time with a 4-0 result for the Bengals.

The Vikings (Varsity: 5-2, 1-2; JV: 6-1, 2-1) will look to get back to their winning ways with a visit to the Jordan Beetdiggers (2-1-2, 1-1) on Thursday. Stay tuned for all the exciting action of PGHS girls soccer!
