The visiting Cavemen from American Fork were intent on evening the score with the Pleasant Grove Vikings after the Varsity Vikings took the first match from AF in August, 3-1. The visiting team did just that in 5-1 shellacking of the home team on Tuesday before a raucous crowd at Viking Stadium. It was the Cavemen's first Region 4 victory and they were not to be denied and they scored twice very quickly and then cruised to the final score.It was up to the PGHS JV squad to preserve the school's honor and they did, besting the AFHS side 4-0.
Next up for the Vikings is a trip to the #3 ranked Bengals of Brighton High School. The Bengals swept the Vikings when they visited Pleasant Grove and the Vikings are looking to return the favor. Tune in for updates of all the exciting action of Vikings girls soccer!
