Team Spirit found success against another top team last night. On a beautiful Fall afternoon in perfect weather situated between two thunderstorms, Team Spirit (3-0) rolled out its own thunder in a dominating performance over Orem Rampage (1-2), 5-1.
Using a very aggressive offense and stifling defense, Team Spirit scored early and often, cruising to a 3-0 lead by intermission. Orem Rampage's defense stiffened in the second half, however, and the girls in yellow could only manage to score one more goal until the final few minutes of the match. That is when Team Spirit's shutout ended as Rampage squeezed a shot under Spirit's diving goalkeeper for the score. Team Spirit answered right back, however, taking the kickoff and pressing the Orem defenders until they made a successful shot on goal. The 5-1 advantage held until the end of the match.
Madison had a great game. She plays left midfielder, which means she helps control the middle of the field and supports the forwards' attack. She had several good shots on the goal, but just missed wide or high. She also made a number of good passes to put her teammates in scoring position, but they couldn't convert. I predict those kinds of plays will find the back of the net later in the season.

That was AWESOME! You should be a sport writer. Tell Maddie she rocks and I can't wait to read the next edition of "Eagle Cage, your up to date happenings on what's happening".
Eagle Cage.
I like that.
Did you just make that up, or is that from something?
Oh, you know, just my brillian mind at work. :) Actually, it's a combination of great qualities someone I know possesses (that is WAY to many s's).
Once again, there is a typo on my post, please insert "brilliant" where you see "brillian" thank you.
I thought maybe "brillian" was the name of an alien race and that you were finally confessing what we all have suspected for some time.
Your mom goes to college.
Good one, Kip.
