OK. I know this has already gone around, and I should have been a little more deliberate in announcing it, but my time as the bishop of the 100th Ward is close to an end. A couple of weeks ago, President Hoyt (the BYU 20th Stake president) arranged to meet with Kelley and me. I expected that, since I had been a bishop for the usual three years, that I was going to be released as bishop.
Well, upon meeting with him, he did talk about releasing me as bishop, but he also extended a call to me to be his second counselor in the stake. Until they find a replacement for me in the 100th Ward, I'll serve in both capacities (I hope President Hoyt finds a replacement fast!).
One of the first tasks in my new calling was to sit on the stand with the rest of our stake presidency for the regular CES satellite broadcast from the Marriott Center at BYU last Sunday evening. I sat on the second row on the podium behind Elder Rolfe Kerr and his wife. I was across the aisle and behind Elder Nelson (who was speaking that night) and his wife. President Hoyt was conducting. I was going to provide a link to the broadcast which showed me on the stand in the beginning few minutes. Since I last looked, the broadcast has been edited to begin where Elder Nelson is being introduced by President Hoyt (which is after my face time--oh well), so nevermind.

FINALLY!!! Just teasing. Life is busy. Glad to know what's new in your life. I did see you on the broadcast by the way. So handsome!! Best wishes in your new adventure.
Darn, you were edited out. Oh well, Brianne and I saw you and Kelley on the stand just where you depicted. No worries...if anyone asks, we're witnesses.
