Sound Of Music Review

Not even the sun could shine brighter than Jenae Giles who played Maria von Trapp in the Herriman city production of Sound of Music. Her infectious smile and angelic face made it hard to look away at the others on stage. Was there anyone else on stage? As if that wasn't enough, the dulcet tones of her voice sealed the deal. Even and smooth, delightfully earthy Jenae's voice carried on the wind to delight the hundreds of people lucky enough to attend. Oh, yeah, there were others in the play. She connected so well with the children playing the von Trapp family and she helped the Captain come alive considerably. There was another player that caught our eye. He played a simple neighbor/dancer but he, Jason Giles (any relation?) was anything but simple. Smooth on the dance floor, suave in all of his stage time, this could be Jason's breakout performance. Let's hope so. As a Nazi, he's no slouch either. Precise and direct, cool and calm, Jason has a future in dancing Nazi's. Or whatever else he chooses to play. Thank you, Herriman city for casting so well. And thank you, Jenae and Jason for making my evening so worthwhile.

Yes! It was wonderful! Brianne and I were enchanted by Jenae's talent...like Jenn, we almost forgot that there were more people in the cast! Except for Jason that is...ahem.

You guys are all great! Thanks for the amazing reviews. I did make a copy for myself so that when Jen is a published writer, I can show the world what she wrote for me! Thanks again guys. We did really appreciate all of you who went out of your way to come. The time that we spend doing these things is worth it when we can do it for our family! Love you all!
