Team Spirit Cools Off

On a cool Spring morning, Team Spirit finally came up against a team who wouldn't give up and handed the Girls in Gold their first defeat of the year.

Team Spirit faced Blue Crush at 8:30 a.m., just as a bitter wind from the North began to blow. While Team Spirit keep the ball in the attacking third nearly the entire first half, it was only on a breakaway attack that they could manage to put the ball in the net. The first half ended with TS leading 1-0.

In the second half, facing the wind and a determined Blue Crush team, Team Spirit made two critical defensive mistakes which allowed two easy Blue Crush scores. And that was the difference in the game as Team Spirit fell to Blue Crush 2-1.
